MSF ORRC Pilot Test – The Motorcycle Safety Foundation's on going pilot testing of the On-Road Rider Course. MTII RiderCoach Trainers Jennifer and Jason conduct student classes as a realtime test of the curriculum. The two classes started in the morning and ran till about noon. The course routes took riders on a coached ride around eastern Hollywood and Dania as well as a short ride on I-95 and I-595.
RiderCoach Trainer Prep (RCTP) - Hosted in Kentucky. MTII's Jennifer Hooper assists in the conducting of this RCTP. Four RiderCoach Trainer Trainers: Cathy Rimm, David Smith, Mike Wisniewski and Jennifer Hooper, worked in pairs with two groups of RiderCoach Trainer Candidates. These RCTCs then later worked with RiderCoach Candidates who worked with Student Riders at the end of this two week prep!
RCP NAS Pensacola - MTII's RiderCoach Trainer Jennifer Hooper assists the Florida Rider Training Program's Louie Kyler in conducting a RiderCoach Prep Course, military style. Pensacola Naval Air Station and Cory Station C.I.D. hosted the course. The prep course finished with a live class conducted on the last weekend of the training. Students benefitted from hands on experiences with 9 RiderCoaches and 2 RiderCoach Trainers. Despite the sever temperature drop, everyone had a great time!
International Motorcycle Safety Conference - The Human Element. Hosted at the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach, California. Safety experts from all over the world participate in panel discussions on training research, licensing, crash causation studies, training systems and skills development. The focus of the conference is The Human Element. The numbers, statistics and research data represent people, people like us, who love motorcycles. The conference provides an opportunity for the safety community to come together to find ways to protect our fellow riders and insure we all continue to enjoy what the roads ahead have to offer.
RCTP - Kentucky. MTII's Jason Hooper travels to Kentucky for a RiderCoach Trainer Prep Course. Trainers from all over spend two weeks delving into the depths of the underpinnings of Adult Learning and the BRC curriculum. The course completes with conducting a RiderCoach Prep Course which finishes with the conducting of a Basic Rider Course.
2006 Florida Motorcycle Dealers Association Summit MTII's president Steven Paul Zarbatany provides the FMDA an in-depth look at what impact Florida's new legislation will have on motorcycling. Effective July 1st, 2008 1. All persons registring a motorcycle will have to show proof of endorsement. 2. All first time applicants for endorsement must take a motorcycle safety course. These changes will have a huge impact on Florida's training community. MTII is poised and ready to meet the demand with MTII's Dealer R.E.P.P. The MTII Dealer Rider Education Partnership Program will allow dealers to get involved with rider training to meet the needs of their customers.
RiderCoach Prep Course. MTII's RiderCoach Trainer's Steven Zarbatany and Jennifer Hooper conduct this RiderCoach Prep Course along with assistance from the FRTP's RiderCoach Trainer Ray Zurenda. The prep course finished with a live class conducted on the last weekend of the training.
BGBA Charity Ride - The Black Global Bikers Association Charity Ride. MTII participates in the Black Global Biker's Association, Inc. charity toy drive and fund raiser benefiting the Leon Stewart Foundation for blind visually impaired children.
Bike Nite Parade at the South Florida Fairgrounds. A small collection of pictures from the South Florida Fairgrounds special night for motorcyclists. The hold a parade which passes through the fair each year and offer the first 250 bikes to arrive a free gift as well as a reduced fair entrance fee.
MTII's RiderCoach Trainer Jennifer Hooper assists the Florida Rider Training Program's Carl Bennett in conducting a Rider Coach Prep Course, military style. Jacksonville Naval Air Station hosted the RCP with candidates from all different branches of the service. The men have dedicated their time by volunteering to promote motorcycle safety and training as part of the Joint Services Motorcycle Safety Program. A unique feature of the Basic Rider Course being conducted on base is that participants use and ride their own motorcycles during training. Needless to say they had a lot of fun doing it!
World Wide Motorcycle Show hosted at the Miami Beach Convention Center. MTII sets up to represent motorcycle safety at another people packed show. Show stopping bikes from all over. The only limits to design are those of the imagination!
MTII's RiderCoach Trainer Jennifer Hooper assists the Florida Rider Training Program's Louie Kyler in conducting a Basic Rider Course (BRC) military style. MacDill Airforce Base is used to conduct the BRC for Candidates preparing to become RiderCoaches during the week to follow. As a function of being on base, riders must ride their own motorcycles during the BRC. The same skill exercises performed commonly on 125cc to 500cc motorcycles must then be performed on 1000cc to 2000cc motorcycles. Despite the larger bikes the candidates and other riders have a lot of fun building their skills during the course.
Miccosukee Resort's Kruisin Krome Car & Bike Show. MTII's Donna and Stephen set up at the beautiful Miccosukee Resort, home to our South Miami-Dade Training Site. Lots of tricked out cars and choppers roll out in the sun to shine. Music, food and fun...
MTII's RiderCoach Trainer Jennifer Hooper assists the Florida Rider Training Program's Louie Kyler in conducting a RiderCoach Prep Course. The course was conducted for candidates at the Withlacoochee Technical Institute located in Inverness, Florida.
RiderCoach Prep Course. RiderCoach candidates begin their week long right of passage. Their goal is to become the newest RiderCoaches in Florida. For their last weekend, canidates get to teach a live novice class.
MTII's Scooter School 1 Prep Course, MTII's continued dedication to the two wheeled community. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation comes to MTII to present the new Scooter School 1 Curriculum. Vespa of Ft. Lauderdale & Palm Beach joins as a new sponsor providing 6 new Vespa ET4 Scooters. RiderCoaches spend a fun filled two days getting to know the new curriculum, the ET4s and student teaching.
MTII's Scooter Drill Team? A spontaneous precision drill team sprang forth while getting to know the Vespa ET4! RiderCoaches perform basic drill riding techniques after a long day of training. MTII leads the way in state of the art training: "Our riding is our passion, our passion is our work, and our work is always fun!"
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Scooter School 1 Launch Event. The MSF visits Miami's beautiful Haulover Beach to demonstrate and show case the new scooterific curriculum. MTII lends help with logistics and set up for the 4 day event. MTII has been offering the new SS1 classes at it's Hallandale location with great success. Activities were filmed and photographed for both TV and magazine. Vespa, Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda and Piagio all presented their various scooter offerings. From the small run-arounds to the truly awesome cruising and touring models with engine sizes upward of 400 to 650cc! The event finished of with a pleasant reception at the Lowes Hotel on South Beach. Look for this event to be on SPEED channel in January.
