The MSF’s Basic RiderCourse now provides you with an in-depth online classroom experience that you can do at your own pace. The ePackage 1 or eP1 is a self guided learning session that can be completed at one time, approximately 5 hours, or over many sessions. The eP1 remembers where you left off. In order to be eligible to take the Florida required in-person knowledge test the eP1 must be completed, you will receive a completion certificate for the eP1.

The Basic Rider Course is a research-based and action-oriented core curriculum designed to teach beginning motorcyclists of all ages the physical and mental skills necessary to ride safely on the street.

The course includes basic motorcycle operation, maximum effective braking techniques, turning skills, obstacle avoidance maneuvers, classroom instruction and ten hours of "on cycle" training.

RiderCoaches for the program are all experienced motorcycle operators who are nationally certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). Student workbooks, helmets and motorcycles are provided by MTII.
