JANUARY
January 31st > Premiere of Biker Boyz at MUVICO, Pembroke Pines. MTII staff on hand to meet the public and spread the word of motorcycle safety.
MARCH
March 25th > Day trip to Fort Pierce to the newest MTII site. Classes starting May 2003 , at the Orange Blossom Center. Part of MTII's commitment to growth.
March 11th > The Fortis Group gets a 30+ Harley-Davidson motorcycle night ride of Miami's South Beach. An exciting surprise leading from hotel to restaurant.
DECEMBER
December 12th > ARC Ride December 2003. A MTII & American Road Collection shuttle ride from Everglades Safari Park to Big Fish Restaurant in down town Miami. A group of unsuspecting tourist from France were shuttled from the Everglades to down town in a parade of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
December 10th > The MTII Christmas Party. RiderCoaches, Staff and family attend to enjoy food, music and a chance to get together.
December 7th > The 2003 Toys in the Sun Run. MTII takes part in the festivities at this great get together. A sea of motorcycles fills the landscape at Markem Park as the crowds of people gather for food, music and special deals from vendors. Riders make the long trip accompanied by an unwrapped toy to be donated to bring some joy to children in need.
NOVEMBER
November 10th-17th > FRTP-RCP 2003 : Florida Rider Training Program - RiderCoach Prep Course 2003! More than a dozen RiderCoach candidates begin their week long right of passage. Their goal is to become the newest RiderCoaches in Florida. They get into the heart of the philosophy and principles of the BRC and understanding their application in the adult learning process. November 9th > Grand opening of West Palm Beach Harley-Davidson's new location. Large turn out of riders and fun seekers and MTII was on hand to enjoy the crowd.
November 8th > RCCAP 2003. Pronounced "re-cap" the MTII RiderCoach Candidate Apprentice Program spends a day at the range gaining more insight into the BRC. They will further the effort to bring more safety education to new riders, existing riders, and the general public. For information about becoming a RiderCoach click here email us.
November 8th > Palms West Festival in West Palm Beach. MTII spreads the word of rider education. Great weather made for a great turn out and lots of fun!
November 7th > MTII's very own Nick Maodus turns 50! Happy Birthday, and many more to come...
November 5th > RCCAP 2003. Pronounced "re-cap" the MTII RiderCoach Candidate Apprentice Program spends an evening with Steven, Jennifer and Jason focusing on the principals and their application in teaching the BRC. The candidates long journey toward becoming new RiderCoaches is nearing fruition with their upcoming Florida Rider Training Program's RiderCoach Prep Course. The RCPC is a week long process to certify RiderCoaches from around Florida to teach the MSF's BRC. MAY
May 28th > MTII present for an all day event at Delray Powersports.
May 13th > The ARC Shuttle ride. Starting on Miami's South Beach and ending up at Down Town Miami's Bay Side in front of the Hard Rock Cafe. 50 Harley-Davidsons shuttle a happy bunch of passengers from hotel to restaurant.
JUNE
June 14th > 4th Annual Ladies Day Out. A day ride to Treasure Coast Harley-Davidson. MTII spent the day helping to get the message out about rider safety and training.
AUGUST
August 23rd, 24th, 25th > SMSA 2003. 15th annual State Motorcycle Safety Administrators conference in Columbus Ohio. MTII takes part in a conference addressing the issues facing the sport of motorcycling and what is needed to keep it safe. Attendees traveled from all 50 states to take part in this yearly event. Speakers provide informative workshops during the weekend and vendors provide opportunities to shop and gather valuable literature. Entertainment provided for evenings of fun and socializing. Recent growth in motorcycling has required an increase in safety awareness and training to keep the sport and riders safe. For information about becoming a RiderCoach email us.
August 20th > Getting Back to the Basics. RiderCoaches attend a hands-on workshop as part of MTII's commitment to continued education and quality development. RiderCoaches engage in activities to strengthen their rolls as facilitators focusing on the diverse needs of new and experienced riders. For information about becoming a RiderCoach email us.
SEPTEMBER
September 24th > RCCAP 2003. Pronounced "re-cap" the MTII RiderCoach Candidate Apprentice Program spends an evening with Steven and Jennifer getting into the heart of the Basic Rider Course curriculum. Looking forward to becoming MSF and FRTP certified, five candidates start the long yet rewarding journey toward becoming new RiderCoaches. MTII will host the upcoming Florida Rider Training Program's RiderCoach Prep Course in November. The RCPC will certify RiderCoaches from around Florida to teach the MSF's BRC. September 11th > The First Annual Palm Beach Freedom Ride. Sponsored and supported by WIRK radio, Arrigo Dodge, MTII, Greater Yamaha, PowerSports, Harley-Davidson of Palm Beach, Iron Eagle Motorcycle Company, Cycle World Kawasaki, and South Florida Choppers. The ride started at the future home of Arrigo Dodge and made its way to Roger Dean Stadium escorted by FHP. MTII welcomed riders and guests at Arrigo Dodge as they signed in a enjoyed food provided by Subway. At Roger Dean Stadium, Buddy Jewel provided an evenings entertainment after a ceremony to commemorate those lost on 9-11.
September 6th > 2003 Miami Motorcycle Show. MTII joins Palmeto Motor Sports, other dealers and vendors from all around South Florida.
September 6th > The Grand Opening of Greater Yamaha of West Palm Beach. MTII is present for the opening of Greater Yamaha's beautiful new location.
OCTOBER
October 12th > MTII takes part in Bobby B's "Boss" Hrlys annual October bash. Custom and factory bikes take home trophies and prizes. Live music, food, prizes and vendors provide for a day of great fun for all.
October 11th > South Florida Choppers grand opening. Bikes, food and fun were in good supply. Jennifer Hooper represents MTII passing along information about our offerings.
